About the Region The Riverside Vacation Home Mansion is locally designed and built just over fifteen years ago it still tops the lists of Port Alberni's most beautiful homes. Activities can begin right in your own back yard. We love the Alberni Valley for its access to some of the most beautiful places in British Columbia. The regions mountains, lakes, rivers, streams are easily accessible. Weather its hiking, swimming, trout fishing there is lots of that around here. Nature surrounds us, with only an hours drive the the wild west coast of the island. Nearby Tofino and Ucluelet are a perfect day trip from the Riverside. Tubing the river is also a great way to cool off from the summer warmth of the valley, or a quick drive to Sproat Lake where the clear waters are accessible from a number of public access areas. Sportfishing is also a way of life for locals so getting a good chance at some nice fish is an affordable and viable activity.
